Go ahead and use a red container with blue and white flowers for your July 4th party. Pictured here are succulent rosettes with blue hydrangea and white lisianthus.
Here is a closeup of the "red" echeveria succulent rosette. You can have certain succulents turn red if you refrain from watering them or keep the in a pot that is too small. Over the short term, you won't do much damage to the plant an it creates a neat effect.
Here is a very simple idea for July 4th floral decoration. We took about 15 stems of very open white carnations and did a small hand-tied design and secured the stems with a rubber band. Then, we cut the stems very short in order to fit into the short blue pail. Finally, we placed it on a red napkin to create the final "red, white and blue" floral design for our July 4th party!

ReplyDeleteIf your artificial creation gets dusty a hair dryer set on cool or no heat makes a fabulous duster for silk plants and arrangements. The hairdryer will drive any loose dust off of most artificial plants. You may want to do this outside to avoid blowing dust around your home.
