National Public Gardens Day - May 7

Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens - San Marino, California
Okay...so I am a few hours late reporting on National Public Gardens Day which is today, May 7th; however, it is never too late for you to explore one of the over 500 public gardens in the United States. The American Public Gardens Association (APGA) teamed up with Rain Bird to continue its  campaign to raise public awareness of America's public gardens and their important role in promoting environmental stewardship and education, plant and water conservation, and education in communities nationwide - through this National Public Gardens Day. There are plenty of gardens in Los Angeles to visit on all year round! Check out The Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens in San Marino (cactus garden shown above), Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge or the South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes. Find a garden near you at publicgardens.org.
